I’m an award-winning science writer and reporter living in Washington, D.C. I grew up in Oregon and have always been fascinated by the connections between people, science, and our planet.

As a staff writer at the science news site Eos published by the American Geophysical Union, I cover stories ranging from ocean pollution to climate politics to workplace harassment. My work has been syndicated by NPR affiliates, The Smithsonian, How Stuff Works, and others.

Outside the office, you can find me organizing events for the D.C. Science Writers Association or checking out a new hiking trail.
